Every year, the anonymous tips submitted through Crime Solvers of Fairfax County help keep our community safer. In 2025, we reached a historic milestone, recording the highest annual tip total in the program’s 46-year history. The integration of our program into the Fairfax County Police Department’s Real-Time Crime Center has strengthened the connection between community tips and active investigations, and the results speak for themselves.

Four and a Half Decades of Impact
The numbers tell a powerful story. Since our program began in October 1979, Crime Solvers of Fairfax County has been part of something larger than any single case or any single year. As the oldest Crime Solvers program in the Commonwealth of Virginia, our record reflects what sustained community commitment can achieve:
More than 2,000 criminals and fugitives arrested as a result of tips received
Thousands of cases closed, including murders, rapes, robberies, and burglaries
More than 200 fugitives apprehended
More than $240,000 in cash rewards paid to tipsters since the program's inception
None of this happens without the community.
