Crime Solvers of Fairfax County Board of Directors
Crime Solvers is governed by a volunteer civilian Board of Directors whose members bring deep professional expertise and a shared commitment to public safety in Fairfax County. Our Board funds cash rewards for information leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals responsible for crimes in our community, or the capture of a wanted person. They are neighbors, professionals, and community leaders who give their time because they believe in the mission.

“I have been a member of the Crime Solvers Board for over 30 years, including two terms as president, and it remains one of the most meaningful commitments my wife Ann and I have made to our community.
I first joined the Board in 1995 at the invitation of a fellow member, and quickly came to understand the critical gap Crime Solvers fills. Fairfax County is fortunate to have a relatively low crime rate for a major urban jurisdiction, but even the finest police department cannot close every case when key witnesses stay silent out of fear, a desire for anonymity, or other personal concerns. Crime Solvers bridges that gap, offering guaranteed anonymity and financial rewards to encourage tipsters to come forward, then passing that information directly to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Making that work requires real resources: rewards for actionable tips, community outreach, tip lines, online services, and case management software. Ann and I believe deeply in contributing our time, talent, and treasure to the communities we are part of, and Crime Solvers is no exception. As an attorney, I have provided legal counsel to the organization for many years, and my service as a Board officer represents a significant and gladly given personal investment.

Our Partnership with the Fairfax County Police Department
Crime Solvers of Fairfax County works in close collaboration with the Fairfax County Police Department, while remaining a fully independent nonprofit organization. We are neither funded nor run by the police department.
Fairfax County Police Department – Real-Time Crime Center Partnership
The Fairfax County Police Department operates a 24/7 Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) that delivers operational, investigative, and analytical support to officers and detectives serving over one million residents. Led by Major Hudson Bull, a 2024 IACP “40 Under 40” honoree, the RTCC integrates advanced technology including drone response programs, license plate readers, and the Connect Fairfax County camera registry to support proactive, data-driven policing. Major Bull’s recent appointment as Business Director of the National Real-Time Crime Center Association (NRTCCA) further reflects FCPD’s commitment to innovation and national collaboration in public safety.
